Every booking on KitSit is backed by our comprehensive protection plan.

£1M Liability Coverage

From the moment a sitter checks in to the moment they leave, your booking is covered by up to £1,000,000 in liability protection. This is included with every booking at no extra cost beyond the standard protection fee.

What's Covered

  • Veterinary Emergencies

    If your cat needs emergency vet care during a sitting, we cover up to £2,500 in vet bills per incident.

  • Property Damage

    Accidental damage to your home caused by the sitter during the booking period.

  • Liability Protection

    Third-party claims arising from incidents during the sitting period.

  • Key Loss

    Replacement costs if a sitter loses your keys during the booking.

Protection Fee

A flat £4.00 protection fee is added to every booking. This covers:

  • £1M liability coverage for the duration of the booking
  • Access to our 24/7 emergency support line
  • Vet consultation hotline access during the sitting

How to File a Claim

  1. Report the incident through the app using the Incident Report button on your booking page.
  2. Our team will review the report within 24 hours.
  3. If approved, contact support@kitsit.travelbed.com with your claim details.
  4. Claims are typically processed within 5-10 business days.

FAQ

Is the protection fee refundable?

The protection fee is non-refundable once the booking is confirmed, as coverage begins immediately.

Does coverage apply to pre-existing conditions?

No. Coverage applies to incidents that occur during the sitting period only.

What if my sitter cancels?

If a booking is cancelled before it starts, the protection fee is fully refunded.

Is there a deductible?

There is no deductible for claims under £500. Claims over £500 have a £50 deductible.
